SUMMARY This position involves assisting the Vice President/General Manager and Department Managers with their performance of their Managerial responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Answer all incoming phone calls with an appropriate greeting.
Screen calls and transfer to designated Managers.
Respond to e-mail and phone-mail messages on a timely basis.
Open the morning and afternoon mail upon receipt, sort and forward to VP/GM.
Log all PAF, requisitions, pay request and any other forms signed by the VP/GM.
Gather all signature forms needed and reading information ready for the VPGM to see.
Forward all information to HR, payroll, and purchasing that has been signed by GM.
Forward signed paperwork back to Department Managers.
Maintain an inventory of regularly used office supplies and forms and place orders when necessary that is used by the VP/GM and Shift Managers Must have the ability to work accurately, with minimal supervision, under deadline situations, and be able to organize for the accomplishment of varied work requirements.
Must have working knowledge and skills within several computer programs.
Maintain payroll and attendance records for Department Managers.
Advise Shift Mangers/Departments when needed on policies and procedures.
Assist in proper paperwork procedures.
Attend and take minutes at Senior Staff meeting each week.
Maintain overall daily office operations.
Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
Other duties as assigned by the VP/GM OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and strong organizational skills.
Correct usage of business English is essential.
Must be able to understand and utilize EDC Personnel Policy and the Attendance Policy.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A personable, friendly personality is essential.
Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
An understanding of Tribal gaming is a plus.
Must adhere to strict confidentiality at all times.
Equivalent combinations of work and education may be considered.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Phone Operators EQUIPMENT TO BE USED Familiarity with the general operation of computer, copiers, faxes machines, and other office machines.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk/hear and should have a normal range of hearing and sight.
The employee is frequently required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Some travel may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
